development, he was initiated into

His pursuit of Taoist teachings lead him to
meet the White Cloud Hermit, a Taoist
Master originally from Central China, living at that time in the mountains not far from
Hong Kong. Master Yi Eng was to become Master Mantak Chia's principle teacher.

Donald Rubbo grew up in New York City, New York. At 16, Donald became legal guardian for his younger brothers and at 18 he moved with them to San Francisco. Being connected with nature has always been an intrinsic part of Dr. Rogers' life. He especially enjoyed playing in woods and family vacations in the mountains while growing up. Teja Bell began his journey studying Martial Arts in 1965 with Judo under Tatsumo Makami. He received his first black belt ranking in Tae Kwon Do/Karate under In Mok Kim. Gary began his Tai Chi career in 1974 in Chicago. He studied Temple Style Tai Chi Ch'uan as taught by master Waysun Liao. Gary took his studies very seriously from the beginning. In 1977, his Tai Chi practice developed into a full time job, requiring from 6 to 8 hours of practice per day. According to him, the Temple Style of Tai Chi Ch'uan was passed from the master to a disciple as a ārealā Tai Chi system. It incorporated all aspects of this highly revered and famous art including forms, standing and sitting meditations, martial art applications and fighting, two person sensitivity training and high performance endurance training.
Michael received master level trainings from Wan Sujian and Duan Zhi Liang during several China visits. James Donnelly began studying tai chi in 1999, at the legendary 103-acre Tai Chi Farm, school of the late taiji Master Jou, Tsung Hwa. After marrying his teacher, a senior student of Jouās, he began teaching in 2001. That same year he was instrumental in the donation of a memorial to Master Jou, in Warwick Town Park, in Warwick NY.
