Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa

Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa was an exceptional martial artist, actor, and visionary, who was born in Tokyo and raised amid the cultural tapestry of Japan and the United States.

Known for his portrayal of villains in over 70 movies and TV series, his wisdom and warmth shone just as brightly as his commanding screen presence. He embodied resilience and authenticity, qualities that resonated deeply with me as a fellow practitioner and teacher.

Cary created his signature style of Choo Shin Do that he passed onto a select group of students. His passing leaves a void, but his legacy continues to inspire those of us committed to Mastery, Spirituality, and Arts.

As a tribute to his indelible contributions, we reflect on his legacy, drawing insights from his inspiring interview.
