Bill Harris

 

Late Bill Harris was was the founder of Centerpointe Research Institute and the creator of Holosync, a sound-based brainwave entrainment technology designed to accelerate and deepen meditation. Trained as a jazz musician, he studied at Berklee College of Music in the 1970s and played flute, saxophone, and clarinet professionally, later weaving his understanding of sound and rhythm into his meditation technology. Harris also studied Psychology, Eastern philosophy, and contemporary neuroscience, becoming a certified trainer in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and receiving training in Ericksonian hypnosis, which informed his approach to personal transformation and mental conditioning.


In 1989, he launched Centerpointe, whose programs have reached millions worldwide. His Holosync system, based in part on clinical research into brainwave patterns, was promoted as a way to calm the limbic system, strengthen the prefrontal cortex, and guide listeners into deep meditative states associated with emotional healing, increased focus, and enhanced creativity. Bill Harris shared stages with figures such as the Dalai Lama, Stephen Covey, Jack Canfield, and Sir Richard Branson. Featured in the film and book “The Secret,” he discussed the Law of Attraction and the role of awareness in shaping experience. He left behind an influential legacy in the fields of meditation technology and personal growth.
